The final week of the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia begins with Rocket League, which is kicking off on Aug. 22 and features a massive $550,000 USD prize pool.
It’s one of the largest prize pool events for Rocket League this competitive year, and with just about every corner of the globe represented through the 16 invited squads, we’re sure to witness one hell of a competition in Riyadh.

Esports World Cup Rocket League 2024 format and teams
The 16 teams attending the Rocket League EWC tournament in Riyadh have been divided into four groups, where they’ll play out a double-elimination GSL bracket. Each match is a best-of-five; win two matches, and that victorious team progresses to the playoffs. Lose two, and that team will be going home.
The final eight will be reseeded into a single-elim bracket where each match is a best-of-seven. By Aug. 25, we’ll crown a Rocket League champ and dish out their $200,000 prize.
All esports teams participating in Rocket League at the Esports World Cup were invited to the event; there were no earlier qualifiers.
