The first and easiest method of getting gem sockets is purchasing a Tiered Medallion Setting from the auction house. These have three separate quality levels but should cost roughly 100 to 500 gold (depending on your realm).

You can also get gem sockets in Dragonflight by leveling up the Jewelcrafting profession to a baseline level and then crafting it. You can do this by crafting and crushing gems. After reaching 30 points, you unlock the Tiered Medallion Setting. You need various reagents to craft a new socket, but these ingredients can easily be bought or acquired.
