TFT Patch 14.16 patch notes: Syndra and Kassadin nerfs

Stay on top of the meta changes.

Teamfight Tactics Patch 14.16 is the first update for Set 12 Magic n’ Mayhem, and it’s packed with a lot of mostly minor adjustments to the meta.

Augments and champions were the focus for the first round of TFT Set 12 Patch 14.16 PBE balance changes. Most have been relatively minor, with a few exceptions, like healing being removed from Karma’s spell if a unit dies while affected. Overperformers like Syndra and Kassadin got multiple nerfs, while Traits like Frost, Faerie, and Warrior were buffed. Here are the 14.16 TFT Patch notes, per Riot.

Patch 14.16 TFT system changes

A new TFT PvE game mode is coming to live servers in Patch 14.17 on Aug. 27. Tocker’s Trials is a temporary mode that will run until Sept. 24.

Golems were a little too powerful out of the gate, and they are getting a few minor nerfs applied to them.

  • Attack damage: Reduced to 55
  • Health: Reduced to 550
  • Ability damage: Nerfed from 335/500/750 to 300/480/750

Several changes were also applied to the Hyper Roll TFT mode.

  • Dummies and Golems will level up one Stage later going forward
  • I’m the Carry Now Augment’s stats were adjusted to power up later
  • Frost Soldier bonus health scaling was reduced from 200 to 110 per Stage
  • Augments All That Shimmers, All That Shimmers Plus, A Golden Quest, and Upgraded Adventure will no longer appear.

Patch 14.16 TFT champion changes

A majority of the TFT Set 12 early champion balance changes are simple adjustments. Watch out for Lillia with the High Horsepower Augment and Katarina through Faerie and Warrior buffs. Kassadin and Syndra were hit with multiple nerfs while Briar’s damage was increased. Much of the brokenness surrounding Syndra, according to Mortdog during the 14.16 Patch Rundown, was that her cast time was set wrong at 0.3 seconds. The cast time has been corrected to the standard one-second cast time.
