Valve updated Counter-Strike 2 for the third time in three days, this time focusing on maps. Nine maps saw minor yet quality-of-life tweaks that ought to improve gameplay.
On Aug. 21, the developer launched a patch that focuses on fixing specific bugs and minor inconveniences in CS2. In total, six out of seven maps in the active pool were improved, except for Dust2. Additionally, Office, Italy, and a map that was removed from the tournament map pool this year, Overpass, were also updated.
Mirage saw the most changes. Recently, there have been lots of bugs reported on this map. They include collision with the van on B, grenade issues on A, problems with planting the bomb, and improper wall penetration in some areas of the map, but these issues have now been fixed by Valve.
Many changes on other maps were similar. On Nuke, Inferno, and Anubis, the developer also made sure that planting C4 won’t be as troublesome as it was for some players in recent weeks, while also polishing a few of the other areas. Here’s the full list of changes:

The developer has been known to struggle with addressing feedback for months, which is why the sudden change surprised the community. “Third update this week already?? What on earth is going on,” a player on Reddit wrote.
They’re satisfied and thankful, nevertheless. “This is the pace of updates we all have been looking for since release. Thank you Valve and keep it up, you will have a very happy fan base,” another fan added.
